During the voyage, the brig was captured and plundered by a Greek corsair, but was later recaptured by the English frigate Uranie. Berlin, September 10. The exchange of letters between St. Petersburg, Vienna, Paris and London is so frequent that we may consider this circumstance as an indication of the immediate solution of the problem concerning Turkey and Greece. Letters from Vienna announce that two bodies of the Turkish army have just started for the principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia. The Journal de Geneve contains the following letter, which Mr. Einardos addressed to the members of the Greek Committee of Geneva: "Paris, September 8, 1827. Gentlemen, the letters I receive from Zakynthos and Poros confirm to me that calm has been restored in Nafplio. No major military event has occurred since the capture of Athens. The Turks and Egyptians are idle. Some in Greece endeavored to cast Colonel Faviero into disfavor, but the good people, considering what had happened, resented this ingratitude. Here is what they write: Faviero is loved and esteemed by the people and the soldiers, they know that, for three years, this brave soldier has devoted his life to Greece... I feel even more joy in giving you this news of Colonel Faviero, as I have great admiration for his tenacity... ...Please, gentlemen, help him, with some from among yourselves, to organize and discipline the troops he has under his command, they are necessary for Greece, etc." Also, lengthy hymn article to Admiral Cochran. 2nd, p. 4.
